One Week Left to File a Claim
There is one week left to file a claim in the SiriusXM do-not-call list settlement, which stems from allegations that the satellite radio company repeatedly contacted people who had opted out of telemarketing calls.
The settlement follows a 2022 lawsuit claiming SiriusXM continued calling people who were either listed on the National Do Not Call Registry or who directly asked the company to stop contacting them. While SiriusXM denied wrongdoing, it agreed to pay $28 million to resolve the claims. The suit was originally filed in October 2025.
The settlement administrator hasn’t released payout estimates. Final amounts will depend on the number of valid claims.
Here’s what to know SiriusXM settlement claims.
What’s the deadline to file a claim in the SiriusXM settlement?
The deadline to submit a claim is March 21. Anyone who wants to object to the settlement must do so by March 27. A judge will consider final approval on May 11.
How do I qualify to make a claim?
People who were contacted more than once by SiriusXM from April 27, 2019, to Oct. 31, 2025, can qualify if:
They were not a SiriusXM subscriber and had been on the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 31 days.
They were asked to be placed on SiriusXM’s internal “do-not-call” list, but still received a call after the request.
The Do Not Call Registry allows the public to opt out of telemarketing calls and report violations to the Federal Trade Commission and is available for free.
How do I file a claim for the SiriusXM settlement?
You can submit a claim online through the official settlement website. The form and instructions are available there for eligible consumers.
What kind of calls triggered the SiriusXM lawsuit?
The lawsuit claimed SiriusXM made multiple telemarketing calls to people who had opted out—either by joining the National Do Not Call Registry or by directly telling SiriusXM not to call again.
Is this the same as the National Do Not Call Registry?
No. The registry is a federal opt‑out list maintained by the Federal Trade Commission. The settlement relates to allegations that SiriusXM violated those opt‑outs or its own internal do‑not‑call list.
