As a New York City native, Vilim’s creative foundation began in ballet. She developed an early fascination not just with movement, but with costumes. That focus on form and function would later define her design perspective. She also found fashion to be a natural outlet from a young age. Before having access to proper tools, she began constructing garments for her dolls using tape. This hands-on, intuitive approach continues to inform her work today.
