Harris Reed is Leaving Nina Ricci

The list of luxury houses without a creative director just got longer: On Wednesday, Nina Ricci announced that creative director Harris Reed is stepping down from his role. The British-American designer is turning his full attention to his namesake brand, he posted on Instagram. “I am leaving Nina Ricci with a heart full of gratitude and a profound appreciation for all that my time there has given me,” Reed wrote. “My deepest thanks go to Puig and to the entire Nina Ricci team. Truly, to step into a heritage house that not only welcomed, but actively championed my imagination, has been an honor beyond words.”Reed joined the Puig-owned house in 2022. The then 26-year-old became the youngest designer to take the creative helm of the label. Throughout his four year tenure, Reed brought to life his gender-fluid approach to fashion through expressive, structural silhouettes and extravagant gowns. “When I first arrived at Nina Ricci, I was 26 years old, not long graduated, single and still finding my footing while learning how to stand confidently with an unconventional voice,” Reed continued. “Today, I leave having learned and grown so much, and I am so excited to enter this next chapter of my life with my husband (and dog) beside me, in a home that I love, ready to take my own company into its next chapter.”Nina Ricci has not announced Reed’s successor. His final show for the brand was the Fall 2026 collection, presented during Paris Fashion Week on March 6. Do you have an emerging brand you want to share with Fashionista readers?
